The J-Bass® Set

The Amalfitano J-Bass® set brings you all the subtlties of a vintage Jazz® Bass tone plus a little bit more. The J-Bass® set features Alnico 5 magnets which impart a smooth top end clarity as well as a nice smooth bottom end.
Constructed with Alnico grade 5 magnets, the assembled bobbins are scatter wound by hand using 42 gauge Formvar wire. This combination gives a true vintage vibe with musical complexity and beautiful harmonic overtones. Each pickup is wound just the right amount to emphasize the midrange and add punch without overshadowing the classic tone that you expect.
The neck pickup is reverse wound for a hum canceling effect when used together with my bridge pickup.
All Amalfitano bass pickups feature vintage color-coded cloth covered wire leads and are lightly wax potted to reduce the chance of microphonics.
